I decided to take a look at the online situation on Steam and share with you how it is with popular titles. You can look at all the data there by yourself.
First place goes to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, which displaced its main competitor and leader – Dota2. Most likely, the influx of people is due to the recent major CS:GO tournament.
In third place is PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS, which had a crazy 3million peak online at the time of its release. Now that number rarely exceeds 600-700k one-time players. Most likely, people have distributed on other projects in a similar genre – APEX and Fortnite.
In fourth place is Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege with 120 thousand players. Here we should say that it is a product of Ubisoft and their main platform – Uplay. Given this fact, figures are very good.
Forever Grand Theft Auto V is, symbolic of its name, the fifth place. Next comes the recent project MONSTER HUNTER: WORLD.
Rust and Warframe share 7th and 8th place, respectively. These are the permanent places of these games and today is no exception.
In 9th position is Football Manager 2019. This surprises me. I didn’t think this type of game had so many active fans.
Rounding out the Top games on Steam is Team Fortress 2, whose popularity has recently been ensured by overwatch from Blizzard
