Saw an interesting table comparing PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch console sales over the last four years.
Extremely entertaining information, I must say. Particularly interesting is the year 2020, which isn’t complete. The Switch is moving unstoppably toward the 70 million units sold mark. And will probably reach that milestone by the end of this year. It won’t catch up with the PlayStation 4, but it doesn’t need to. Consumers of these two consoles often do not overlap.
But the console from Microsoft is losing its position. Most likely, the overall decline is due to the waiting for the next-generation consoles, as many will prefer to wait and buy a more powerful machine.
